![]() ![]() There was zero concern for the welfare of my family or the fact that I used my last vacation day to atempt to take my family to GWL. Financially, this is devastating for me and will mean I am unable to pay some bills this month. After calling the next day (which is a call center, can't even get the location where I attempted to stay) I am stuck waiting almost 2 weeks for my refund after unexpectedly having to pay for a second hotel. After sitting in a pitch black building with devastated and scared children for hours, I moved my elderly mother and 3 children to another hotel and spent much more money than I could really afford due to the last minute circumstance. Although this is not GWL's fault, I am absolutely shocked by the lack of concern and extremely poor customer service in responding to this situation. NEVER AGAIN GREAT WOLF!!!!!Īrrived and the power went out about an hour later and we were told to leave. We had went to the doctor and it was confirmed that my friend had E.coli and I was confirmed with Crypto. Next morning my friend and I wake up with bedbug bites and we go to front desk and show them and all they say is that they are spider bites well come to find out they were bedbug bites!!!!!! disgusting!!!! we went to check out the pool to see if it looked any better and it did but that night after my friend and I swam we felt off like as if we were sick so we packed up and left and my friend had to rush to the nearest bathroom she was vomiting and having diareaha and then I stared felling that way and we were both just so sick. But here is where it gets worse we found a bedbug in our bed we called the front desk and they said they would get us a new room and we waited and we called back to the front desk and they said that they could not get us a new room and we were so grossed out I mean it was horrible we just killed the bedbug and got in bed and slept. So let's just start with the waterpark, the slides are all nasty and the water is brown and it smelt like pee, My friend did not want to go down any slides or even swim we felt grossed out, and when we were on the pool deck a person two chairs away from us was coughing and then she thew up in a bag and we just went to our room for the night. You can easily find a better hotel or family experience somewhere else for the price. Food orders were botched and misinformation runs rampant. Additionally, every attraction or store is managed by teenagers that have no clue what they are doing. Please know that I was never rude or demanding. Goes to show how much they care about the customer experience. I was advised the manager “should” be up in 5 minutes or so but they never showed. I did attempt to speak to a manager regarding my concerns prefacing that I was NOT looking for comps, just wanted to provide feedback to no avail. ![]() This stay was extremely expensive and the room and service we receive should match the price they charge. Oh, did I mention I got a mild case of food poisoning from undercooked chicken wings from their onsite casual pizza restaurant? This was in addition to the order being incorrect. To say I am disappointed and disgusted is an understatement. Leftover toys from previous guests and wristbands found in my kids bunk beds, which leads me to believe the sheets weren’t even changed. There was candy on the floor underneath the sink. This hotel is dirty! Found a dirty stained towel. STAY AWAY if you value cleanliness and any semblance of customer service! Currently at the end of a 3 day stay for my kids birthday and I have to say that I am sorely underwhelmed. ![]()
